I explained in the last post that I am currently trying with my hardest to cut expenses and save all our extra $$$ to go towards our down payment. So I think to hold myself accountable I will start to keep track and document our progress and ways that I have been able to earn extra cash these days.
So currently I am trying to pay off all credit debt. We got married last year and paid for the wedding ourselves so afterwards we had ourselves some debt and by this January it was about 90% paid off. We did add to it just a little in the last few months, but we are on the right track.
So as of the beginning of June, total debt that has to be paid off is
$3,288.22.
That includes all of our credit cards, some leftover bills from the move like the last cable, gas, electric bill and what not. Basically everything that needs to get paid off minus our "large debt" as I call it, like my student loans and car.
Luis as of now does have two jobs, and ooh how I wish I was able to do something extra, I can't being 8 months pregnant. I can barely stay awake past 9pm as it is. So I will be looking into other ways of making extra cash this month. One thing I have started last month was selling on Amazon FBA. Its a great program and for someone like me who likes to shop and find deals at the same time its amazing. Basically, Amazon FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) is a program they offer where you find the products and send them to Amazon and they list them as Prime products, and do all the shipping and customer service to the purchaser. So all you have to do is find the most profitable products to sell, so buying low and selling high. There are more details that go into it but so far I have been loving it. I sent my first shipment in May and it was all from sourcing stuff in clearance aisles and thrift stores, it has a potentially profit once sold of around $500 profit. So far I have gotten a $100 payout from Amazon. So we are on the right track. You really need to pick up the pace and send in shipments to really start seeing consistent sales and seeing as I am doing this on a part time basis, its just taking some time.
I will update every month on our progress and ways I have found to earn extra income.

Life Updates and Goals
A little update for what is going on over here. I found out I was pregnant with baby number two in November. Then of course, shortly (or 3 months) later found out that it's a boy. I was 100% convinced that we were going to have another girl. So now I am here freaking out because the thought of having two kids is crazy to me! I am so used to Ava and her crazy (that's another post) girl ways, that I feel that I have no idea what to do with a boy. But I know there isn't anything given to me that I can't handle and its just a phase. But the whole second time mom thing, where you realize you don't really care as much as the first one.....is sooo true. I think I have maybe a handful of pregnancy pictures and have written in my journal maybe three times. When I was pregnant with Ava, I was all over that stuff and documenting. These days, I am just trying to get through the day. I thought I had it bad before but add on being 8 months pregnant and the whole energy drain, along with Ava and a household, is just something I was not prepared for.
About a month ago, me and Luis realized that in order to really make our goals happen for the coming years and get out of our 2 bedroom apartment, with horrible lighting in the kitchen, was to drastically cut our expenses and really save. So the really logic conclusion we could think of was to give up our apartment and move back into my moms house. This of course, is to be only be for like 3 months, but the baby is coming soon and there may be a chance we have to stick out a little bit longer. We are able to now pay off any remaining credit card debt, have money in savings and put everything towards the down payment for a house. So the goal for me that I want to place myself at is to be able to have a home of our own before the end of the year. Luis also was able to get a second job at a local bar that we love and that has greatly helped us with extra money. So far we have been here at my moms, all three of us living in one room, for about 2 months now. Our credit debt has been cut in half and we are on our way. I wish I was able to get a second job but being 8 months pregnant and having no energy to do anything after 6pm, really puts a damper on all that. So I have started a journey to working at home. My goal is to be able to bring in at least $500 extra a month and go from there. I will keep everyone updated with reviews and updates to working from home possibilities and how we have been able to really save towards our goal.
